Holly's Home For Christmas Cider

~ A warm welcome for your guests, this cider will scent your entire house! ~
2 quarts Apple Juice or Cider
1 quart Cranberry Juice
2 cups Orange Juice
1 teaspoon cloves
1/4 cup sugar
orange slices, 1/2 inch thick
cinnamon sticks, broken up

Combine all ingredients in large pan on stove or in crockpot on low heat. Simmer until blended. Garnish with clove studded orange slices and serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks.



Spiced Winter Nog

holly
4 cups water
4 cinnamon sticks
1 12.oz. can cranberry-juice cocktail
4 orange herbal tea bags
Orange slices and whole cloves


In saucepan, bring 4 cups water with 4 cinnamon sticks to a boil. Add 4 orange herbal tea bags. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes. Stir in one can (about 12 fl. oz.) fozen cranberry-juice cocktail. Heat through. Remove and discard tea bags. Pour into mugs and garnish with orange slices studded with whole cloves. Makes about 6 servings.



Sparkling Fruit Cooler

1 package (10 oz.) frozen starwberries or raspberries
1 bottle (26 fl. oz.) sparkling apple juice or cider
2 cups raspberry-flavored seltzer

Into medium bowl press package of frozen strawberries or raspberries in light syrup, thawed, through a strainer to remove the seeds.Place fruit mixture into pitcher. Gently stir in 1 bottle sparkling apple juice or sparkling cider and the raspberry flavored seltzer. Pour into ice-filled glasses. Garnish each glass with a screwer of fresh strawberries. Makes about 4 servings.



Citrus Daiquiri

holly
1 can (12 fl.oz.) lemonade or limeade concentrate
2 1/2 cups cold water

In shallow pan, combine 1 can (12 fl.oz.) lemonade or limeade concentrate and 2 1/2 cups cold water. Freeze until almost frozen. Break up with spoon and place in work bowl of food processor or blender. Process until smooth. With processor running, gradually add 1 cup water or until a thick but pourable consistency is achieved. Serve immediately. Garnish each serving with a long curled zest of orange. makes 6 servings.

Iced Mint Refresher

6 herbal mint tea bags
2 cups boiling water
2 cups chilled white grape juice
1 1/2 cups (12 fl.oz. can) chilled seltzer

Brew 6 herbal mint tea bags in 2 cups boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags; chill. To serve, combine the tea with 2 cups chilled white grape juice and 1 1/2 cups (12.fl.oz.can) chilled seltzer in a tall pitcher. Pour ice-filled glasses. Garnish each glass by hanging a small cluster of grapes on the rim. Makes about 4 servings.



Elvie's Favorite Party Punch

1 small package Jello (any flavor)
1 48 oz. can pineapple juice
1 can frozen concentrate orange juice
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 liter ginger ale

Combine jello with 2 cups hot water. Add sugar then frozen concentrate and pineapple juice. This part can be kept in pitcher till needed. For a party put punch in bowl and add ginger ale just before serving. For individual servings put 2/3 punch, 1/3 ginger ale per glass.
